Woyzeck, a musical road show

On 25 June 2011 the School of Drama participated as the official Greek student participation in Scenofest-Street Stories in the global exhibition scenography Prague Quadrennial 2011, the show Woyzeck, a musical road. The audience response was enthusiastic, and spectators exceeded in many public any other show in the Street stories.

Musical Polytropo: Απ’ άκρια σ’ άκρια.
The Musical Polytropo founded in 1995 by Associate Professor of Ethnomusicology, School of Music Studies, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Yannis Kaimaki with the aim of spreading Greek folk tradition to young people through involvement with folk songs. The Musical Polytropo has presented the following music theater productions from 1995 until today in Greece and abroad (Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Turkey, etc.): “Ο Κύκλος της Ζωής”, “Το Τραγούδι του Νεκρού Αδερφού”, “Τα Εαρινά – Έθιμα και Τραγούδια της Άνοιξης”, “Τα Χριστουγεννιάτικα – Έθιμα και Τραγούδια του Δωδεκαήμερου”, “Το Γεφύρι της Άρτας”, “Μια Κόρη Ρόδα Μάζευε”, “Γάμοι σα’ ‘δω, Γάμοι σα’ ‘κει, Γάμοι σα’ παραπέρα – Τρεις Γάμοι σι μια Μέρα” and the most recent play “Κόρη μ’ κι αν περπατείς λιανά”.
